Mike 's Biography:

Mike Duncan is the Director of Marketing for Industrial Finishes & Systems, one of the nation’s largest automotive and industrial paint, equipment and supplies distributor. Industrial Finishes & Systems operates in 42 states from 28 separate distribution centers.

Mike started his career in marketing with General Motors in Detroit in the early 1990s, followed by a 15 year stint in the recreational vehicle industry. He has been supporting Industrial Finishes’ customers for 10 years. Prior to joining Industrial Finishes, Mike worked in marketing and/or sales for 3 successful software start-ups. Two of the three companies sold for over $10M each and the third continues to operate successfully in Eugene, employing over 60 people.

Outside of his work at Industrial Finishes, Mike teaches as an adjunct professor at Bushnell University. His classes include marketing, communications, finance, management and entrepreneurship. In addition to Bushnell, Mike teaches a broadcasting workshop at the University of Oregon and hosts the longest-running non-interrupted radio show in Lane County (30 years and counting).

Mike is a graduate of Purdue University with a BA in Communications and a graduate of Bushnell University with an MBA in Management. He is also a graduate of Purdue-Indiana University’s Innovative Distribution Program. He currently lives in Eugene and is an active member of the community.
